Sleepwave, a band inspired by late 90's grunge and industrial music, it felt appropriate to convey a mood rather than an obvious narrative. A few things were already in place when I was brought in to work on the project; the band had their wordmark, symbol, and they wanted both to be on the cover. The album's title track presents themes of being personally and emotionally lost. I created several original mixed media paintings with these themes in mind with the intention of making the viewer feel like their were in a semi-concious dream state or a "sleepwave". Star constellation illustrations were also used throughout. When a sailor finds themselves lost at sea with a broken compass, they rely on the night sky to find their way through dark.
